John H. Brand joined the Board of Directors for Arnot Realty Corporation in 2006 and was elected as Chairman of the Board in 2015. After graduating from Hamilton College in 2000, with a degree in economics, John moved to New York City, where he worked for Credit Suisse First Boston Direct as an investment advisor and Dealogic, Inc. as an equity syndication analyst. Upon returning to Elmira, John worked as a portfolio manager in the Investment Department at Chemung Canal Trust Company, where he earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. In January 2016, John co-founded his own Financial Planning and Wealth Management business, The Brand Schweizer Group / Raymond James.

John gives back to the community by serving on the Board of Trustees at Elmira College, where he is Chairman of the Investment Committee. John is a former Board Trustee at the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, where he also served as Chairman of their Investment Committee. John is also a past Director at the Clemens Center, Elmira City Club, and Elmira Country Club. John resides in Elmira with his wife, Betsy, and their four children.
